Welcome back myu fans! I’m closing out the month of January with a song from the Fuminamoon era — Chibiusa’s solo from Shin Densetsu Kourin, “Chibiusa no Kokoroiki” (“Chibiusa’s Disposition”).
This song appears after the Amazon Trio have trapped the Inner Senshi (except Moon). As the Trio leave the stage, there is an interlude where Chibiusa appears, and talks about how bad things are going. When her Papa disappeared from the 30th century, she suspected something had gone wrong in the past, so she came back in time to find out — only to find out things were as bad as she feared. She proclaims that leaving the past in the hands of “useless Usagi” was a mistake, and vows to protect the future she came from.
The song appears on two CDs — the soundtrack for Shin Densetsu Kourin (Memorial Album of the Musical 6) and the special CD Eternal Edition 3 (mostly devoted to Chibiusa songs and songs by child characters), in both regular and karaoke versions. An instrumental piano version of the song, called “Chibiusa no Kokoroiki (Piano Solo),” also appears on the CD Best Soundtrack 2; you can hear it in Shin Densetsu Kourin during Chibiusa’s death scene. The song appeared at two fan events: the Kaguya Shima Densetsu New Year’s Fankan and the Starlights*Ryuusei Densetsu Fankan. It did not appear on any special videos.
That’s all for this week! Tune in next week for another Song of the Week!
